A plastics molding division of Byron Originals was soon formed to produce parts used on our model aircraft kits and to provide a wide variety of OEM customers with injection molded and rotocast components to be used in the manufacture of their finished products. The rapid growth and success in custom molding encouraged us to engineer and product a proprietary line of outdoor furniture and accessories for Pool & Spa and Marine use, marketed under the trade name of Leisure Locker.
The Leisure Locker line originated with a patented rotocast settee, called Leisure Locker I, that features lockable dry storage beneath the seat. Oasis, a multi-functional entertainment table, was introduced shortly after Leisure Locker and became a perfect companion piece to the settee.
In the fall of 1998, the Leisure Locker line was expanded to include Step ‘n Stow, a high quality rotocast spa step with a lockable dry storage area beneath the top step, and Leisure Locker II, a settee 40% larger than the original Leisure Locker I, which features enough storage space to accommodate 6’ long water skis, fishing rods, longer pool vac hoses and similar hard-to-store items.
The Leisure Locker line has introduced pool owners, spa owners and boat dock owners to a new standard of quality in molded plastics. The Leisure Locker Line is "rotocast"; a time-consuming process that is much less mass-productive than other forms of plastic manufacture such as injection molding or blow molding. Even though rotocast is more time consuming and therefore more expensive than other forms of plastic manufacturing, it is the only process which can yield the Leisure Locker, Oasis and Step ‘n Stow in their present immaculate quality configurations.
Look for a rapidly expanding line of Step 'n Stow and Byron Fuels products in the months and years to come!
